First, I would like to thank God for leading me to Dr. Nalda's office!
When I came here, I was in so much pain that I couldn't sit, stand, or lay in one position for a couple minutes. Most times I would continually pace the floor with my head down, moaning and groaning, because I couldn't stand the pain. I went four days without any sleep and was totally exhausted. The pain was constant. My left arm felt like a blood pressure cuff was crushing it. No matter what position I placed my left arm in, there were certain muscle areas that were so extremely painful that I felt like I was having a heart attack. Also, my left-hand thumb and pointer finger felt all numb and tingling from pain. It was like a rubber band was tightly twisted on those two fingers and the blood wasn't getting to them. That really hurt, too. As a matter of fact, I couldn't feel objects with that thumb or finger when I went to touch anything. I could only feel pain in them. I couldn't lift my head in an upright position without feeling this terrible pain in the bone at the back of my neck between my shoulders. On occasion, I also felt tingling pain radiate up and down my left leg. The pain was so bad all over that I was nauseated and couldn't eat. Needless to say, I was miserable.
Feeling as described above, I went to a local hospital to be examined because I was concerned about my heart. I have a history of irregular heartbeat, as well as costochondritis. Costochondritis is a syndrome of chest wall pain that is due to inflammation of the cartilage and bones in the chest wall which becomes very painful. I have to be careful not to confuse this condition with the signs of a heart attack. Another common symptom that accompanies this condition is exquisite pain when taking a deep breath because it stretches the inflamed cartilage. Often, simply touching my ribs can be extremely painful. I later learned that because of the many nerves that branch away from the chest, you can experience pain in the shoulder and arms. I simply can't stand having any constrictions around my chest. For example, tight clothing, a seat belt, etc. Nevertheless, I do wear a seat belt even though it bothers me. A general practitioner once told me that women generally experience costochondritis on the right side of their chest and men mostly have it on their left. Not me though, I have it on my left side and it's crazy how changing weather conditions (rain, cold-to-hot, hot-to-cold, humidity, etc.) often brings on that burning paint in my chest and pressure which feels like someone is behind me with a tight rib lock and I find it horribly difficult to take a deep breath knowing that sharp, nagging, and aching pain will shortly follow. So, I guess I had learned to breathe short breaths instead of a refreshing deep breath in order to limit the pain. I also feel it is important to mention that for the last 20+ years I have slept elevated on two pillows at night because it was so difficult for me to breathe. I couldn't lay down flat and breathe. I attributed it to the costochondritis. I dreaded going to bed I would sty up late until I felt so exhausted so that I would almost pass out in order to get some rest. This was not good for my health and especially for my heart. To go into the depression that my health issues were causing me is a whole other story. I was prescribed anti-depressants from previous doctors, but researched them on the internet and held off taking them. Thank God!

Why did you come to our office, what was going on?
I was always in pain in my shoulders & neck from stress. I have also had to take allergy pills daily. If I ever stopped taking them more than a day or so I would get a violent migraine that induced vomiting until I would take of my pills again.
What did the problem prevent you from doing?
Having to take pills daily was always annoying because sometimes if I ran out & forgot to get more, I would always suffer until I got more. Having headaches that bad meant I spent a lot of time in bed with cold packs and darkness until the pain was gone.
What did you do for the problem before you came to see us?
To stop the pain I would have to take claritin-D, that is the only thing that worked and it is quite costly.
What happened to you after starting chiropractic care? What ways did your life improve?
I noticed that my stress pain started to ease and I was sleeping much better. I have also been able to stop taking my allergy pills. I stopped taking them in June and have been pain free from allergy migraines ever since.

I like to go to the gym. There were many times I had to forece myself to go, due to my lower back problem. I couldn't watch tv for any amount of time, my back would kill me.

I had a cat scan done on my back, also x-rays. I would take muscle relaxers and aleve. All i could do for my back was to work out and try to make my back stronger.
What happened to you after starting chiropractic care? What ways did your life improve?
I started to feel a lot better in a short period of time. I was even working our more often. I had no pain while sitting down for long periods of time. Along with chiropractic care I am also taking glucosamine and working out six days a week. Also I don not take the aleve as much. I am also doing a lot better at work, my back doesn't bother me as much. I still have my bad days, but not nearly as often. I believe with chiropractic care and going to the gym on a regular basis has been the difference. I also believe taking glucosamine has helped.

Why did you come to our office, what was going on?
For 19 years I could not turn my head either to the left or right so i could see to my side or back. Since March 2007 my left arm could not be moved above my shoulder. I also have extreme back pain. I was usually in a bad mood due to the pain I was in. I went to Dr. Nalda's hoping he could relieve my pain.
What did the problem prevent you from doing?
Prevented me from driving as much as I wanted to since I didn't feel safe changing lanes or backing up the car. I am left handed and there were so many things I could do no longer, from hanging up clothes to dry outside or reach something from high shelves. I was unable to comb or fix my hair. I love to garden however, due to back pain I had to stop gardening. I couldn't bend over and straight up. I also gave up machine sewing, once I could not sit in a straight back chair.
What did you do for the problem before you came to see us?
I went to numerous doctors concerning "stiff" neck. I was given pain pills by many doctors. Then i decided doctors were not helping, I had 24 treatments of therapy for my left arm, without any change. I take over the counter pain medication.
What happened to you after starting chiropractic care? What ways did your life improve?
I can now turn my head both directions without pain. Therefore, giving me more freedom to drive when I want to. I am able to lift my arm straight up without pain. Flowers are once again growing on my yard since I can bend over & stand up without pain. I am in a happier mood and doing things I like that I was unable to do before. I am very satisfied and happy with the results.

Why did you come to our office, what was going on?
I could not get off the garage floor. I've had back problems in the past from laying brick/blocks & the pain would eventually go away with medicine. This time was different. I bent over to pick up a weed eater, my back popped & I couldn't get back up. I talked to Chance at Gold's Gym & he said some employees went to Dr. Nalda. This is what got me to come to your office.
What did the problem prevent you from doing?
I could not move. Plus it was my wife & I's anniversary. We had a 2 night stay at a nice resort in Orlando & I could hardy move. I laid on a heating pad, wore a back brace & took medicine.
What did you do for the problem before you came to see us?
I would just deal with the pain, take medicine, wear a back brace & eventually it would go away. I've always had low back pain & if i would move just the wrong way my back would pop & lock up.
What happened to you after starting chiropractic care? What ways did your life improve?
After going to Dr. Anthony Nalda, my back as been doing great! I do not have that consistent low back pain anymore. I feel great & I'm not afraid to move anymore, thanks to Dr. Nalda & staff. I've noticed great improvements in my posture & in my day to day activities. I also have klinetecters, which causes low testosterone & I take medication everyday that is very expensive. My levels have always bee low even on medications. Since going to Dr. Nalda, my blood work shows my levels are too high now & my meds have been cut back. Thanks to Dr. Nalda, my body is now on a path of healing itself. Thanks for all that you are doing.

I came to your office knowing my neck was in bad shape. That only a medical Dr. could treat by operating.
